Qualifications

  • Must possess a High School diploma and/ or GED
  • Should have prior automotive experience, minimum of 5 years, demonstrate parts knowledge and have diagnostic ability to include: internal engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust and all other related automobile systems.
  • Must be well mannered, neat in appearance and posses the ability to meet and deal with the public in an unbiased manner.
  • ASE Parts Certification will be required with-in two (2) testing periods
  • Must submit to pre-employment drug testing (November 1, 1994) in accordance with the appropriate state provisions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Must complete all required training manuals/ materials.
  • Must attend all scheduled/ required Company meetings.
  • Must be familiar with all categories of merchandise, core policy, warranties, and Company services offered.
  • Should effectively suggest related merchandise.
  • Must consistently assist customers in a professional, courteous, and prompt manner.
  • Must meet or exceed all assigned sales goals or quotas.
  • Must perform assigned store duties that include, but not limited to: Stocking, cleaning, sales, customer service, truck loading/ unloading, inventory management, etc.
  • Responsible for the inventory management and appearance of the Parts Department.
  • Should have working knowledge of battery tester/ charger, electrical tester, electric impact wrench and basic computer/ catalog skills.
  • Must assist in training store personnel in the areas of parts knowledge.
  • Responsible for maintaining the PDQ filing system and meeting PDQ percentage goals.
  • Assist in outside soliciting to increase customer flow and to maintain rapport with commercial accounts in order to keep abreast of their needs.
