The Merchandising Operations Analyst will focus on data and analytical support to complete integration of skus across multiple banners (CBR – cross banner replenishment).  They will partner with teams across organization including Supply Chain, Inventory, Merchandising and vendor community to complete work in support of one enterprise catalog.

The Merchandising Operation's support of the Merchandising Center of Excellence (COE) will include sku/product lifecycle management, sku set up/maintenance, and future planning/data governance capability.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support data maintenance for cross-banner replenishment work including file management, report creation, identifying gaps, and alignment across departments.

  • The Merchandise Operations Analyst will work closely with merchants, business analysts, various other departments, and vendors in maintaining item data and application data for Advance Auto Parts.

  • Execute strategic plan for future state merchandising relating to Product Information Management.  Specifically, managing all product information required to sell product in AAP’s omni-channel environment.

  • This position will have responsibility for evaluating all current data to ensure that it is complete, accurate, and updated on a timely basis. 

  • This position will ensure data consistency across product line and that all business-critical data requirements are identified, and data acquired. 

  • This position will ensure current processes for acquiring and maintaining data for the SKU file are documented.

  • This position will help build efficiencies across the functional team so that new and existing product data is accurate and inclusive of operational data and application data across all banners of the organization.
  • The Merchandising Business Analyst will be required to partner and influence across the organization representing Merchandising. No direct reporting for this position.

Education, Certifications, and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance
  • 2 - 4 years' experience with data management, retail background
