ABOUT THE POSITION:  

The Assistant Branch Operations Manager (ABOM) directs warehouse activities for the company by performing the following duties personally, or through subordinates:



• Ensure safety procedures are followed and makes recommendations regarding safety issues;


• Assist with management of full-time and contract employees performing warehouse and delivery tasks;


• Confers with Branch Operations Manager to ensure coordination of warehouse activities including but not limited to operations, staffing, training, branch assets, expense management, and budgeting;


• Maintains daily workflow for delivery orders. During peak business hours, assists teammates working in warehouse and as delivery drivers;


• Ensures replenishment orders and returned merchandise are processed according to Company standards;


• Maintains a customer service oriented philosophy in all conduct of self and teammates and serves as a role model to ensure compliance by all teammates;


• Ensures operations procedures are followed for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. 


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:



• Must have a minimum of one year of supervisory/management experience including coaching and performance management;


• Must have a minimum of one year of cash handling;


• Minimum 3 years’ class 5 driving experience required and must maintain a clean driver's abstract;


• Maintains a professional appearance and follows the customer service philosophy of the Company;


• Must be available Monday to Friday as well as alternating Saturdays;


• You are reliable - Excellent attendance record;


• You are a team player - Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills;


• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
