Responds to customer requests to place orders and/or determine the availability of parts and/or prices in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Functions
• Welcome CARQUEST visitors by greeting them, in person or on the phone; answering or referring inquiries.
• Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook and issuing visitors badge.
• Answers customer telephone orders in an efficient manner. Checks prices and parts availability upon request from customers.
• Performs accounting duties consisting such as credit entry, order entry and direct billing for shipments from other company locations.
• Researches inquiries and handles customer issues as needed.
• Documents over/shorts claims for research and resolution.
• Notifies customers regarding order fill discrepancies on “must have orders”.
• Re-keys “unknown orders”, identifying customer name, address and any other information necessary for proper billing and shipping.
• Orders product from existing distribution centers and manufacturers as needed for customers. Maintains special order file with follow up as necessary for billing invoices not received and proof of delivery to customer.
