SUMMARY

As an analyst at AAP, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You will partner with other analysts and divisions to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Analysis:  Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations

 

Merchandising:  Support merchant’s efforts to collaborate with Vendors/Suppliers through data.  Build targeted insights to inform them with KPI’s and other metrics that can be used to drive both of our businesses.

 

Execution:  Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan

 

Partnership:  Work closely in a cross functional agile environment across IT, Merchandizing, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability

Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or math);  a minimum of 1 year of complex analysis experience; preferred 5 years of experience with complex analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience
