Job Description

The Director, Agile Transformation is responsible for setting and executing the strategy for both the SAFe delivery model as well as the Solution Delivery function for the enterprise.  This leader performs the role of Portfolio Engineer for large, complex and strategically significant enterprise portfolios.  In that function, this leader influences priority and strategy decisions with executive level teams across product, technology, architecture and the business group leader.  This role creates and maintains a consistent approach to scaled agile product development and serves as change agent for continuous improvement through improved/enhanced processes and operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Manages and leads teams of scrum teams within the IT organization 
  • Manages and leads agile coaching team for IT teams
  • Partners with business, engineering, product and architecture leadership to manage and prioritize group portfolio of investments 
  • Solutions and mitigates delivery risk and monitors delivery progress
  • Creates and analyzes delivery metrics to optimize delivery outcomes

    Qualifications                                                                                   

  • 12+ years of professional experience
  • 7+ years managing and leading employees and complex team efforts
  • 3+ years’ experience leading SAFe agile teams, or equivalent program and project management experience on large complex technical projects/programs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is required
  • Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management Tools is required
  • Safe certification is required

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring and personnel management skills.
