The Position

Responsible for effectively managing the procure-to-pay process, enterprise ERP implementation, T&E process management, audits and other projects assigned by the manager to capture enterprise demand, compete enterprise requirements, and control lifecycle vendor performance to create best value for the company. Capturing enterprise demand includes the establishment of procurement policies and the configuration of purchasing systems to reflect organizational needs, help prioritize spend in alignment with available resources, and consolidate requirements for scale. Competing enterprise requirements includes selection of partners with demonstrated highest levels of quality at the lowest prices under the most advantageous terms to the company. Controlling lifecycle vendor performance includes the assessment and assurance activities required to ensure that the company’s vendor expectations are fully satisfied.

•     Creates or modifies systems or structures to enhance capabilities and goal accomplishment across the organization

•     Removes unnecessary bureaucracy and inefficiency by standardizing work processes

•     Finds ways to transfer and exchange information effectively across the organization

•     Uses key financial indicators to drive the competitive advantage for the organization, optimally manage resources, and maximize organizational productivity and impact

•     Ensures financial/operational plans or budgets are developed in a timely and integrated manner and support the company’s goals

•     Reviews actual performance vs. forecast vs. goals to highlight areas of risk and opportunity

•     Inspires others to consistently advance their overall automotive marketplace knowledge

•     Actively develops and asks for new insights to ensure Advance Auto leads the industry

•     Shapes and guides the workforce to realize organizational objectives

•     Creates enthusiasm towards the achievement of company goals

•     Gains support and commitment and influences individuals across the organization

•     Drives understanding by communicating the “why” behind the vision to leaders

Requirements

  • BS or BA in a business or technical field
  • 8 to 10 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with budgets, ledgers of accounts, and financial analysis
  • Contracts and negotiations
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in business operations or other operational roles
