Job Description

Assist the District Manager by providing store coverage on the counter in multiple store locations. Sources stock, sells and coordinates deliveries of auto parts to local installers and other potential sellers of parts. Also responsible for helping with all functions of store operations, which include personnel, credit, paperwork, payroll, deliveries, pricing, shipping and receiving, customer service, warehousing and distribution, security and safety, and maintenance. Assist the stores with meeting their sales and GP goals. Ensure that service standards are high and that complaints are quickly resolved. Maximize sales potential through identifying new ways to drive sales. Lead by example, inspire teamwork, and communicate company procedures and policies

Position Responsibilities :

  • Strive to exceed store sales and GP expectations
  • Maximize sales potential through identifying new ways to drive sales
  • Ensure that service standards are high and that complaints are quickly resolved
  • Continually coach store personnel thru both positive reinforcement and constructive criticism
  • Maintain proper inventory levels through ordering, returns and proper analysis
  • Ensure timely deliveries thru dispatching and use of two way radios
  • Make sure customers are receiving credit copies of returns in a timely manner
  • Make sure all vendor returns are done correctly and returned properly
  • Ensure inventory integrity and minimize shrinkage
  • Get daily paperwork to office in a timely manner
  • Assist corporate departments with any questions or concerns they may have
  • Communicate and reinforce proper behavior and performance
  • Make sure sales histories are being used/ call lists
  • Constantly keep vehicles in good shape and promote safety to all drivers
  • Maintain cataloging integrity
  • Complete end of month procedures
  • Constantly communicate with team members and encourage smooth communication flow between all employees and company departments
  • Openly support and enforce all company policies, procedures, and guidelines

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in the automotive industry as well as operations experience with full P&L responsibility is required.
  • Demonstrate managerial skills.
  • Results driven, highly energetic, goal oriented, self-motivated who can also motivate others, have a positive team-player attitude.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in a multi-task and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent selling skills as well as communication, leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Can easily and quickly adjust to changes and work with different types of people.

Physical Working Conditions & Schedule:

  • Some lifting is required - 30-50 lbs on occasion.
  • Weekdays 7:15am - 5:45pm, Saturdays 8:00Am - 3:00Pm (Two out of three Saturdays).
  • Local travel to customer facilities as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift, bend, stretch, climb stairs, and use a telephone and computer.
