SUMMARY

The EHS Administration & Captive Coordinator supports the EHS and Risk department by performing essential tasks that support the EHS team.  This position processes and reconciles electronic payments for the department.  This position will monitor reconciliation of transfers between Advance Auto Parts and Neuse River Insurance Company.  This position will support the departments IS systems including the EHSIS and RMIS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with administration of our Intelex system (EHSIS/EMIS) & Riskonnect system (RMIS)

  • Assist with administration of our Captive Insurance company as needed

  • Coordinate 3rd party audit and FM Global site visits

  • Provide administration support to the VP of EHS, Risk, & Sustainability

  • Provide limited administration support to the EHS Directors

  • Track findings from all audits and inspections

  • Organize EHS compliance files

  • Assist with MVR program administration

  • Perform other projects as necessary or as business needs change

  • Route chat and emails questions and correspondence from the field

  • Assist with insurance renewals and self-insurance programs as needed

  • Compile information from PeopleSoft / WorkDay and submit ISRs as needed

  • Use established formats and procedures, enter data and provide administrative support to the EHS team as directed

  • Send outgoing mail and correspondence as directed by the EHS Team

  • Set up meetings, reserve and prepare meeting rooms. 

  • Provide support with OSHA reporting, incident tracking, and investigation responses

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a multitude of business partners, internally and externally.

Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills; Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and web-based systems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred

3 -5 years of experience in a legal, risk, EHS, or executive support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
