Advance Auto Parts (AAP) has an opportunity for a multi-site Bi-Lingual Human Resources Manager, located in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities include:

Leading the Human Resources function for six locations (Riverside & Bakersfield, CA, Houston & Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ & Albuquerque, NM) establishing solid business partnerships and driving functional excellence. Direct responsibility for approximately 580 hourly employees and 45 salaried employees. Developing, implementing and validating Human Resources programs, policies and initiatives aligned with short and long-term business plans. Foster a culture in the organization that promotes employee involvement and engagement and a passion for customer excellence.

Essential Functions include:

  • As strategic business partner, work with Leadership teams to set direction, priorities and culture expectations while championing and embodying AAP’s Cultural Beliefs.
  • Leading cycles of improvement, ensuring alignment of key programs and initiatives and driving change management plans to maximize employee ownership and engagement.
  • Driving HR functional excellence through AAP’s programs, ensuring quality of process and content and alignment to achieve goals and objectives. Develop, optimize, document and standardize sustainable processes, sharing best practices across the function.
  • Building organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management and employee development. Managing and developing employee compensation/reward and recognition programs, driving high performance culture aligned with business objectives. Fostering a culture of manager ownership and accountability of the employee life cycle.
  • Driving positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees within area of responsibility. Effectively deploying communication plans and utilizing assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to determine organizational issues and action plans. Exemplifying and leading AAP’s cultural beliefs.
  • Providing leadership guidance and coaching. Developing and implementing solutions to organizational challenges by leading/coaching others through change.
  • Facilitating the design and implementation of impactful change initiatives that ensure the best possible solution for all key stakeholders.
  • Establishing diversity initiatives and maintaining governmental compliance through EEO practices
  • Coordinates disability claims (STD and LTD), leaves of absence (FMLA), and workers’ compensation (WC) claims with HR Services, third party administrator (TPA), and relevant parties.
