The I&D Specialist will play an important role in creating traction for the Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) strategies and related initiatives.  He/She will contribute to improving diversity and fostering an inclusive environment where team members feel welcomed, valued, respected and heard.  I&D initiatives include a variety of different programs, tools, resources and trainings, as well as embedding I&D into key functional processes such as talent acquisition, performance & talent management, training, and marketing. 

This role will focus on:

  • Partner with the Director, I&D to design, develop and bring to life the inclusion and diversity plans tied to recruitment, engagement, retention and development to deliver on Advance’s overall strategy
  • Support development and launch of diversity training programs aligned with our L&OD team to educate, promote and drive the I&D culture
  • Measure, track and analyze I&D data and initiatives, partnering with the HR Data team on I&D dashboards
  • Pull and organize data to articulate effectiveness of inclusion programs and strategies to leadership
  • Coordinate the Team Member Network (TMN) program to include budgeting, planning, mentoring, finding executive sponsorship, and connecting TMNs together to empower the business
  • Partner with talent acquisition team to identify and leverage new opportunities to build out recruiting diversity plans
  • Create and manage schedule for I&D activities across the company, partnering with the HR and Marketing and Communications team
  • Conduct research on best practices for I&D programs and events
  • Point of contact for internal/external I&D communication projects, including survey/award submissions and social media
  • Other projects as assigned

This role is an individual contributor role and will report directly to the Director, Inclusion & Diversity.

Qualifications:

  • HR experience; previous I&D experience a plus
  • Organized with good project management skills and attention to detail; event support/planning skills a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, engaging at multiple levels of the organization
  • Problem solver/solution focused
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work on several high priority initiatives at one time
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information

Minimum Education: Bachelors Preferred  

Minimum Experience: 2-4 years Human Resources Experience, I&D Experience Preferred
