Advance Auto Parts, Inc., a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, serves both the professional installer and do-it-yourself customers. Advance operates approximately 5,100 stores, 126 WORLDPAC branches and serves approximately 1,300 independently owned CARQUEST branded stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada.

 

Advance Auto Parts is currently looking for a Finance Solutions Lead/Product Manager to join their Corporate Systems Team in Raleigh, NC.  The Corporate Systems Team is responsible for IT strategy, development and operations of Advance’s “back office” systems.  Our  financial systems enable billions of dollars of transactions with both our suppliers and customers annually.  Transformation is the focus as we are replacing aged systems and embracing software-as-a-service (SaaS).

 

As the IT finance solutions leader you will: 

  •  

  • Provide Application Development, Unit / Integration Testing and Implementation services for the Finance domains

  • Define the Finance enterprise systems roadmap in conjunction with the Business and IT Enterprise Architecture teams

  • Be the primary champion across IT for the Finance functions

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the appropriate Business Operations and IT Leadership Teams and their direct reports

  • Drive adherence to sprint and / or project milestones, including implementing appropriate corrective actions when progress deviates from plan

  • Define and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with business leaders, staff and support partners / vendors

  • Define and maintain an effective labor sourcing strategy including outsourcing and managed services agreements where appropriate

     

    This team is looking for individuals that possess: 

  • Demonstrated implementation experience in Cloud SaaS environments with a focus on  Finance, change management leadership, driving both organizational and technological change with the goal of continuously improving Advance Auto Parts’ ability to serve our customers better than anyone else

  • Direct experience with developing, and operating in, flexible labor strategies, including out-sourcing / off-shoring

  • Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across all lines of business and technology platforms

  • Strong experience leading others in Lean and / or Agile methodologies

  • Experience developing multi-million dollar department / organization budgets and effectively planning and managing activities within the established budget

Career Requirements

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years direct senior IT leadership experience and understanding of all aspects of a large scale HR and Finance, GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, ePro, and Budgeting / Planning

  • Demonstrated, proven experience integrating with and/or migrating to SaaS solutions

  • Demonstrated, proven experience with Oracle Financials (procure to pay, record to report/GL, Order to cash)

    Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering business applications in the Distribution, Retail, eCommerce or Direct-to-Customer verticals

  • Experience working in a product centric organization

  • Demonstrated experience working with Oracle Financials Cloud Platform/SaaS

    Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

    Preferred Education:

  • Master’s Degree
