Job Description

The Product Content Analyst is responsible for working closely with vendors, merchants, eCommerce, and various other departments in maintaining and enhancing master data. This position will have an overall responsibility for evaluating all current and incoming customer-facing product content to ensure that it is complete, accurate and updated on a timely basis.  This position will ensure data consistency across product lines and that all business critical data requirements are identified and data acquired.  This position will build processes to acquire and maintain data, both short and long term.  This position is responsible for managing the associated risks involved with inaccurate product information within quality, time and budget targets.  This position will also work closely with vendors to ensure a complete understanding of AAP data requirements. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Work closely with the Merchandising Team to ensure complete product data is collected from vendors and other relevant sources 

  • Manage vendor product data relating to Metadata and product images and other product-related data used in all enterprise sales channels 

  • Develop an ownership and collaborative approach to the vendor relationship that will ensure accurate data information is collected from vendors 

  • Provide data support across the Merchandising and eCommerce teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data 

  • Identify areas of process improvement as it relates to vendor management and support for product data 

  • Communicate with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders to resolve data issues  

  • Recommend and develop continuous improvements to processes that impact product data information ingestion and ongoing maintenance 

  • Develop and maintain appropriate product data documentation as required 

  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports to identified stakeholders of the process 

  • Develop/conduct training on new and updated processes for vendors as directed by department manager 

  • Provide subject matter expertise on the product data information processes for relevant initiatives and stake holders 

  • Provide vendors with status and action planning relating to product data

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals; ability to write reports and business correspondence

  • Identify and investigate issues related to assigned projects by selecting an approach from an accepted body of methodology or recommended alternatives 

  • Provide fact-based analysis and ad-hoc analysis that supports the business case for proposed investment 

  • Present verbal and written reports 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Demonstrated organizational and follow-up skills 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

  • Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules 

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software 

  • Ability to quickly learn and use job specific computer applications 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • 2-4 years of automotive experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or Equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Knowledge of existing POS systems a plus

WORK AUTHORIZATION 

 

Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident who is authorized to work in the United States. Must be local to the Raleigh, NC office
