Job Description

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for supporting the Regional Sales Manager and the outbound sales team.  This involves working closely with the Regional Sales Manager, operations, and other departments to meet assigned sales objectives.  The Sales Development Manager will assist and support the Regional Sales Manager with administrative responsibilities, including sales reporting, analysis of sales data/KPI’s, and reviewing sales team performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following

  • Administer reporting of sales team performance and KPI’s by utilizing Salesforce Oracle Business Intelligence.
  • Assist with the completion of weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales team tasks to support the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Assist with customer account maintenance procedures. This includes customer pricing evaluations, new account onboarding, and lead follow-up.
  • Aid Regional Sales Manager with recruitment efforts.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with Regional Sales and Operations Managers through regular communications and shared execution of strategic plans. 
  • Provides senior management with essential information.  Prepares and submits accurate and timely sales reports and departmental budgets. 
  • Manages activities, communicates performance results and coordinates with WORLDPAC teammates through all appropriate means, including but not limited to the Salesforce CRM reporting tool, and Microsoft O365 Suite.  

 Essential Job Skills Necessary for Success

  • Qualified candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment and a drive to succeed.
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Able to conceptualize and implement sales plans and programs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.   
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Regularly will have to exercise independent judgment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.   
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and to prioritize work duties. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, procedures and work instructions.  Ability to write clear and grammatically correct reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, vendors and customers of the organization.
  • Willingness to relocate in the future is preferred. 
  • Bilingual is a plus 
  • Ability to travel 20-30%
  • Sales, marketing, or business degree preferred.
  • Prefer experience to include at least five years of progressive managerial or leadership responsibilities.  

Education

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • ASE certification preferred, but not required
