 Advance’s Corporate Marketing team is a strategic and dynamic team helping to drive Advance’s transformation by establishing the Advance brand as the premier customer-focused omnichannel auto parts retailer. The team will achieve this by bringing together innovative thinking and forward-looking programs in the areas of Advertising, Media, Social Media, Content Marketing, Creative & Design, and Customer Insights in support of Advance Auto Parts and its portfolio of brands (that includes DieHard, Advance Professional, CarQuest, Technet, WorldPAC, AutoParts International, among others).

We are looking for a Social Media and Content Operations Specialist to be responsible for driving operational excellence for the Social Media and Content Marketing team. They will create and manage the key processes that allow the content and social media organization to operate at scale as a COE, supporting a fast-growing and complex business. They will facilitate project alignment, in partnership with the Content and Social Media leads, to ensure consistency and success of the team’s strategy. They will optimize workload and establish policies and governance to scale.

Additionally, this person is responsible for managing the team’s budget, calendar, weekly agendas, vendor agreements, and all external documentation. This includes, but isn’t limited to policies, procedures, best practices, monthly reports, and executive briefings.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Social Media & Content Marketing and is based in Advance Auto Parts’ Raleigh, NC headquarters, though remote candidates are welcome to apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Manage team operations, including developing new processes and workflows to increase efficiency, keep the team nimble, and drive quality standards.
  • • Understand the content lifecycle and collaborate with our cross-functional partners to deliver delightful customer experiences.
  • • Specify requirements for the technological systems and tools required to support the content and social strategies and partner with IT as needed to build/source required tools and systems.
  • • Build and distribute the monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports for the content and social team.
  • • Create and manage COE agendas.
  • • Manage ticketing system for internal client requests.
  • • Oversee the workflow process with partner agencies.
  • • Manage the Content and Social Media team budget (content production, tools, influencer engagements) as well as vendor contracts.
  • • Manage internal team site including documentation of social policies, governance, team services, ticketing system, education and training.
  • • Support the Senior Manager, Social Media & Content Marketing for all COE activities including: monthly calls, agendas, shared repositories, on-boarding new hires with tools/trainings, and reporting.
  • • Oversee and distribute the social team’s newsletter to share ongoing relevant content, insights, and social recommendations with departments within AAP.
  • • Work closely with finance to on board new vendors and manage the procurement process.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Stay up to date on best practices in organic content marketing, including SEO, social media, and other channels.
  • Demonstrate strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to multitask with excellence and collaborate extensively in a heavily matrixed environment.
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of project or program management experience for a large brand.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience working with multiple stakeholders across a large organization.
  • Bring familiarity with tools like Contently, Social Studio, Sprout Social, and other enterprise tools, as well as standard productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office.)
  • Have managed a budget for a large team or program.

Ideal candidates have experience working at large companies and on known brands that regularly make significant investments in the areas of advertising and media. Retail experience and/or enthusiasm about the automotive space is a plus.
