Career Description

The unique role of Specialist - Supply Chain reporting to the Finance Director, will act as liaison across multiple business units that include but are not limited to DC Customer Service, merchandising, store operations, finance, AP and IT.  The primary functions of this role are to support an environment and processes which will maintain exceptional vendor satisfaction through collaboration of operations, AP and Trade vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • The role includes a combination of process management, analytics and administrative responsibilities.
  • Provide vendor support inclusive of; vendor calls and electronic communications, inquiries on invoices, statements, as well as answering basic account payable questions.
  • Support the Supply Chain Analyst as first point of contact in providing support for internal customer questions
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Analyst and Regional DC Customer service teams to define and document SOPs to aid in optimizing vendor-DC-AP process improvements
  • Assist in identifying and supporting root cause analysis and support action plans while effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions
  • Gain end-to-end understanding of SC & AP policies, methodologies and processes
  • Participate in departmental meetings
  • Support preparation of presentations and reports on behalf of the department and Finance Director
  • Support training staff members and new hires

Education Requirements:

  • College or University Degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in this or similar role
