WORLDPAC Canada is seeking a Full-Time Credit Team Lead – Mississauga, ON

WORLDPAC, a subsidiary of Advance Auto Parts, imports and distributes original equipment and quality replacement automotive parts to select specialty import and domestic service centers.

Summary of Job Description:


The Credit Lead is responsible for assisting the National Credit Manager with the credit, collections, cash applications and customer service functions of the credit department as well as maintaining a reduced collection desk

Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a positive attitude within the team
  • Make credit decisions within assigned authority
  • Approve credit applications
  • Analyze and collect outstanding accounts
  • Negotiate payment terms with customers to ensure transactions are properly secured
  • Deals with escalated customer inquiries
  • Process account reconciliations
  • Establish relations with the largest customers
  • Manage relations with sales and operations
  • Create debit and credit memos
  • Providing credit ratings
  • Identify accounts to be sent to external collection agencies
  • Employee scheduling and approval. Reviews employee timecards for accuracy as a back up
  • Training new hires.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to empower people, and use innovative approaches in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and collaborative skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to assess situations from a business perspective
  • Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment, with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent attendance and tardiness record
  • Has experience working in a multi-branch environment on a national scale; experience in a credit and collection department
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual English and French preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel as well as AS/400 system
