Job Description

The SR Manager Merchandising Analytics will manage a team of analyst’s and is responsible for advancing analytics, processes, and delivering actionable insights to the merchant and marketing teams. The position will engage with teams and leaders across Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Science, Inventory, Visual, and the Vendor community. The SR Manager Merchandising Analytics will develop strong cross-functional and collaborative relationships with business partners to fully understand their strategies and deploy the best analytical process to help partners achieve objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high performing team of analysts
  • Guide design and process of organizational test and learn, execute high level project test analysis, while partnering with 3rd party vendor to advance testing across AAP
  • Support merchant and marketing strategic business plan through process creation, analytical dashboarding, and routine reporting
  • Improve cash and inventory position through conversion analytics, owned inventory process, and reporting improvements in partnership with category executives
  • Advance planogram performance through further institutionalization of SKU Rationalization, Space Optimization, and Impulse insights
  • Plan, prepare and present executive level materials around macro-economic factors, potential impacts, work performed, etc.…
  • Assist merchant leadership in designing, planning, and building adhoc processes as the business may require
  • Drive process improvement and innovation within current tool set simplifying and speeding up the team’s ability to execute day to day work.

  • Ability to influence decision makers using facts and data
  • Proficient in all Microsoft products including SQL & Power BI Design, Alteryx, APT, a plus


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or Accounting
  • 1-3 years experience leading business teams
  • 3-10 years relevant experience
  • or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
