Job Description

The Supply Chain Customer Service Specialist will manage the day-to-day operations of the customer service function. This position will focus on continually improving the effectiveness and efficiency of customer service, aligning these objectives with providing excellent and timely service to our valuable customers. Our customer base includes: Advance Retail and Independent Stores. Monday-Friday/8:00am - 4:30pm


  • Receive inbound calls from customers
  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone or electronically
  • Must have a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Product required knowledge to assist customers with specific questions
  • Quick response to customer emails and respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and functions

Problem Resolution

  • Manage customer troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with our customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with our customers
  • Solve problems quickly using sound judgment
  • Monitor issues to ensure resolution in a timely fashion
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Record details of all inquiries, comments and complaints
  • Research and resolve discrepancy issues


  • Manage the performance of the DC by tracking the positive impact that defines top tier customer service
  • Investigate, formulate and resolve solutions to issues that impact customer service
  • Keep management informed of all escalating issues
  • Weekly updates to General Manager/Operations Manager/s

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills in terms of speaking and writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • College degree preferred, or High School Diploma and/or 3 years of previous warehousing experience required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer experience, preferably with all Microsoft applications is required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and attention to detail
