2021 IT Analytics Summer Intern

Schedule – 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday // May 24 – July 30, 2021

We are always looking for ways to better our strategies and broaden our horizons; which is why we are excited to take on a whole new team of interns. For this 10-week paid internship we are looking for interns to specialize in the following areas: Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Strategy, and Supply Chain. The week of welcome kicks off by pairing you with a mentor who will guide your experience as you work on a project tackling some of our top business initiatives.

This isn’t a job shadow opportunity, this internship is the chance to get involved, contribute and truly experience our workplace. This will be a fun, teamwork atmosphere with the opportunity to build strong peer to peer relationships. The internship will end with the opportunity to present solutions to relevant business problems to some of our top executive staff members. Responsibilities:

  • Take on complete ownership of accomplishable task within the internship timeframe in any of the data engineering, data governance, master data component projects in the Data & Analytics organization.
  • Depending on the interest and skill level, you will be assigned hands on development, business analysis or data analysis roles within those projects.
  • Work with an assigned mentor who might be the same or different from the hiring manager for the internship.
  • Showcase growth and completion to the DnA leadership at the end of the internship and share lessons learnt as well as feedback to the team on the program.

Experience & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in areas such as: Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business, Marketing, or Computer Science with an expected graduation date of Winter 2021 or Spring 2022
  • Coursework or demonstrated interest in any data science/analytics use cases a plus.
  • Experience working in SQL, Python, with statistical packages and/or data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire, etc.) a plus
  • Ability and willingness to be resourceful, working with colleagues in a team / squad structure to identify and learn new skills if needed
  • Obsessed with understanding consumer impact of the digital experience and finding new ways to optimize the journey
  • Ability to plan, lead, execute and deliver compelling and actionable user research in a fast-paced environment, balancing both rigor and speed
  • Experience/knowledge of user consumer research methodologies and implementation
  • Ability to synthesize consumer needs and communicate them clearly and effectively
  • Experience with user-centered, qualitative research methodologies in a multi-disciplinary digital/e-commerce/retail environment
