Job Description

The Asset Protection Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Asset Protection Analytics and support a diverse team of Asset Protection and Retail professionals.  The AP Analyst will play a key role in supporting the company goals of achieving best in class Sales, Gross Margin and Operating Income results, along with department goals of Inventory Excellence, Inventory Shrink & Accuracy, and Defects & Returns.  The Analyst will be expected to participate in solution-based projects that provide and create executable strategies and tactics.  The Analyst will accomplish the above through data and trend analysis, the creation of actionable exception reports and presentations along with daily/weekly monitoring and follow up to key performance indicators.  Also develop personal knowledge, skills and abilities that would not only grow the department but personally transition the Analyst into other Asset Protection roles if desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Field Teams that are tasked with devising and implementing solutions related to Inventory Excellence, Inventory Shrink & Accuracy, and Defects & Returns along with any other margin drainers that erode Operating Profits.
  • Research and report on Company strategies and initiatives related to Inventory Excellence, Inventory Shrink & Accuracy, Defects & Returns along with any other margin drainers that erode Operating Profits.
  • Research and report to Field Teams trend analysis that is actionable for said Teams to identify inefficiencies in Stores that need training or coaching.  Or the possibility of misappropriation of company assets.
  • Establish productive relationships with Area field teams that are conducive to achieving Inventory Excellence, Inventory Shrink & Accuracy, and Defects & Returns targets.
  • Act as a liaison and resource between Corporate and Field Asset Protection/Operations helping manage and maintain physical security aspects of Stores/Distribution (locks, keys, alarms, camera systems etc).
  • Assist and at times participate in investigations and other cases with the goal of creating a culture that promotes Company growth and profitability through integrity.
  • Assist and participate in Regional, District and Store Level training and awareness programs including assessments, presentations and other meetings that build superior experiences with our internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and disseminate financial results to Field Team per our fiscal financial calendar.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have exceptional people & customer service skills and the ability to build close working relationships
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Undergraduate degree or five years related work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

This job requires sitting at a computer terminal for several hours a day. There may be minimal lifting required on occasion though this is not a requirement of employment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Work will be completed within a cubicle and will require being seated at a computer terminal for several hours of the day. There are no specific hazards inherent in the workplace.  There will also be up to 30% overnight travel for this position.
