Job Description

The DC Operations Lead must be knowledgeable in all facets of the department in order to support manager with decision-making. Fills in and completes supervisory and administrative duties as needed. The operations lead maintains order and productivity in the department and ensures managers’ instructions are carried out throughout the shift.


Education and/or Experience: High school or GED; one to three years related experience and/or training; or some equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior warehouse experience or training is preferred but not required.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The PDQ/eCommerce department DC Operations Lead must exhibit leadership traits and qualities over a team of 13 individuals, within a department spanning 3 shifts and 40 associates. The operations lead must be able to exhibit critical thinking skills and creative ability within their role. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.


Job Duties:

(Include the following, but not limited to these)

  • Perform any number of duties and functions within the department
  • Assist manager with daily departmental duties
  • Allocation of DC Associates, discussion of goals and objectives for the shift, and evaluate associate performance
  • Keep workflow moving throughout the department as specified by the manager
  • Ensure assigned associates have all of the necessary tools to do their jobs
  • Ensure assigned associates are working in a safe and efficient manner
  • Be constantly available in work location to assist as needed and resolve issues as required
  • Regularly communicate with management on issues that arise and be able to react as required
  • Conduct start-up meetings with team members to discuss day-before results, today’s expectations, issues that need to be addressed, DC safety issues, and work assignments for the day
  • Ensure daily completion of departmental workload by assigned departure time(s)
  • Monitor and assist in the training/organizational development of new associates
  • Perform safety, quality, and performance observations as required
  • Use equipment (pallet jack, stock picker, etc.)
  • Use handheld radio frequency device (RF Unit)

Shift: 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs, 12:15 pm-Completion (est. 10:45 pm))

This is an hourly position with compensation ranging from $14-17.75/hour.
