Advance Auto Parts Job Description Job Title: DC HR Administrative Assistant Department: DC Administration Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Grade: 9 Job Code: DC0025 Prepared By: Vicki Winston Prepared Date: November 5, 2014 SUMMARY Provide standard administrative and clerical support to the leadership team in the DC facility and handle HR functions in the absence of the HR leadership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide backup support for the HR ManagerGeneralist, with necessary access to and understanding of PeopleSoft and Red Prairie systems. Assist in the payroll process. Assist in the screening process for new hires and scheduling of interviews Assist management in entering Team Member observation data. Organize and maintain file system, and file correspondence and other records. Assist with the maintenance of worker compensation files and training files. Review and route incoming mail. Locate and attach appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer. Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes. Make copies of correspondence or other printed materials as necessary. Provides customer service functions by answering and screening managers telephone calls and answering basic team member questions. Conduct research, and compile statistical and daily reports for managers. Assist with Team Member functions and fund raising activities. Order and maintain supplies. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and 1 - 3 years related experience andor training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
