Advance Auto Parts, a leader in the automotive aftermarket, currently has an opening for an Email Campaign Specialist – Data in our corporate Office Headquarters office located in Raleigh, NC. This position will execute email campaigns using Salesforce marketing cloud. 

The Email Campaign Specialist - Data is responsible for the identification of targeted customer populations for email marketing campaigns. This position is also responsible for aspects of individual campaign set-up including data preparation, audience selection, testing plan execution and quality assurance.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Email marketing strategy team and Email analytics team to define targeting criteria for email and translate that strategy into specific audience selection criteria

  • Create email audiences ( with segmentation based on customer types, purchase history, etc) as determined by email strategy, preparing email lists using multiple list sources and targeting logic

  • React to changing campaign requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Utilize analytical tools to perform basic data manipulation and analysis to create targeted customer lists for direct mail and/or email campaigns which increase customer relevance and drive ROI.

  • Ensure quality of list pull data by validating logic, output files, and customer counts, ensuring all campaigns are set up and executed according to appropriate specifications and rules.

  • Make recommendations for improving targeting and measurement strategies and processes.

  •  Email production: build logic and execute emails of many types including content targeted, auto-response, purchase triggered, and drip email campaigns in our email service provider tool, Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Email QA: Ensure that all email campaigns appear as designed and are accurately targeted in terms of audience, message, and segmentation.

 

 

Career Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years creating lists and segments in an email system, building and testing email marketing campaigns.  Experience working in a multichannel retail environment preferred.

  • Technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud tool or similar tool

  • Understanding of relational tables, ETL processes, encryption methods, troubleshooting data issues

  • Working knowledge of targeting/ measuring -- Ability to execute targeting and measurement techniques given instructions

  • Understanding of testing and measurement of direct marketing campaigns (A/B testing, test vs control, etc)

  • Experience in front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, AMP script)

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Analysis, Business, or related field
