As our Email Marketing Data Administrator at Advance Auto Parts, you will be responsible for the identification of targeted customer populations for email marketing campaigns. This position is also responsible for aspects of individual campaign set-up including data preparation, audience selection, testing plan execution and quality assurance. This crucial role will serve the purpose of translating our email marketing strategies into selection criteria and ensuring our messages reach the intended audience to maximize sales. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with Email Marketing and Email Analytics teams to translate email and testing strategy into specific data requirements.

  • Utilize analytical tools to perform basic data manipulation and analysis to create targeted customer lists for direct mail and/or email campaigns which increase customer relevance and drive ROI.

  • Query data using SQL code in our Marketing Automation tool to create data extensions for email deployment.

  • Through knowledge of Marketing Automation tool and data sets, coordinate with internal teams to recommend integrations with other internal data sources to maximize audience selection and targeting capabilities.

  • Ensure quality of list pull data by validating logic, output files, and customer counts, ensuring all campaigns are set up and executed according to appropriate specifications and rules.

  • Work collaboratively with Email Analytics team to ensure email metadata is effectively connected and delivered accurately for post-campaign analysis

  • Make recommendations for improving targeting strategies and processes.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate deployment of campaigns as well as continuously optimizing processes and tasks etc to maximize campaign audiences.

  • React to changing campaign requirements in a timely manner and recommend solutions to ensure optimization of targeted audiences.

Career Requirements

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analysis, Business, Statistics, or related field 

  • Minimum 2 years creating lists and segments in an email system, building and testing email marketing campaigns. 

  • 1-3 years’ experience with SQL, SAS, R, or other data analysis language

  • Understanding of relational tables, ETL processes, encryption methods, troubleshooting data issues

  • Experience working in a multichannel retail environment preferred.

  • Technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud tool or similar tool preferred

  • Understanding of testing and measurement of marketing campaigns (A/B testing, test vs control, etc)
