Job Description

The Financial Administrator’s primary responsibility is to manage all facets of credit and accounts receivable relationships with our eServices Solutions Customers. The Financial Administrator is expected to directly contact customers when credit limits need to be reviewed, when orders are placed on decline and when balances are past due.  The Financial Administrator focuses on maximizing efficient order flow, conducting payment investigations, negotiating payment arrangements and managing all aspects of our eServices accounts receivable. The results of effective performance will be maximizing sales opportunities and minimizing payment losses, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

•         Contact customers daily to make financial arrangements on their accounts to insure consistent, timely orders flow

•         Resolve customer claims and disputed items

•         Contact all past-due accounts and make arrangements for payment

•         Handle inbound accounts receivable phone calls

•         Minimize losses due to bad debt

•         Communicate with Field Operations and Commercial Sales regarding account status and payment actions taken

•         Recommend to the eServices Management Team customers who need to be reviewed as a result of information received during telephone contact

•         Understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures

•         Proficient credit analysis skills

•         Effective collections, issue resolution, deduction management, and negotiation skills

•         Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel (PeopleSoft A/R experience is a plus)

•         Communications expertise and a proficient telephone manner

•         Collaborative attitude, as well as strong analytical and investigative skills

•         Ability to work with customers in sometimes difficult and confrontational situations

•         Good interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning abilities

•         Ability to conduct research into a wide range of credit issues




EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 Associates degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred); and minimum 1-3 years credit and collection experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
