Advance Auto Parts is currently searching for a HighJump Developer to join their Supply Chain Systems Development Team, a component of their Information Technology Department. The Supply Chain Development Team is responsible for the analysis, development, testing, and supporting supply chain applications. Our supply chain operates at significant scale supporting over 6,000 inventory locations across North America and a rapidly growing eCommerce direct-to-customer delivery model.  Transformation is the focus as we are consolidating systems and embracing software-as-a-service (SaaS).

As a HighJump Developer, your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

  • Perform in-depth analysis and research of large systems
  • Write detailed and maintainable program specifications for large programs, objects or systems to be used by others
  • Write new highly complex programs, objects or systems from detailed specifications
  • Provide time estimates for projects to be performed by self or others
  • Participate in on-call support rotation for moderate to critical system issues
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Advance Auto Parts technologies
  • Participate in all SDLC roles
  • Lead code / design reviews for appropriate level of complexity
  • Create and maintain technical documentation

Career Requirements

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in application development or support of a Warehouse Management System (HighJump Software, RedPrairie, Manhattan Associates, SAP-WM, etc)
  • Proficient in SQL (PL/SQL or MS SQL) programming

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Experience with HighJump’s WebWise Page Editor and Advantage Architect toolset
  • Labeling (Bartender or Loftware)
  • Reporting (SSRS or SAP Business Objects)
  • Voice (Vocolletx, TopVox, Voxware)
  • Understanding of Supply Chain and Warehousing concepts

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master's Degree
