HR Analyst 2020 Summer Intern 

Location: Raleigh, NC
Schedule – 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday // May 25 – July 31, 2020

For this 10 week paid internship we are looking for interns to specialize in the following areas: Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Strategy, and Supply Chain. The week of welcome kicks off by pairing you with a mentor who will guide your experience as you work on a project tackling some of our top business initiatives.

Summary
The HR Analyst intern will analyze and interpret data, report conclusions and make recommendations based on findings.  The Analyst will engage with HR business partners to determine how data can best be used to guide decision making about talent. This position will provide strategic guidance and insights across all of areas of Human Resources and the field organization. This role is critical in fulfilling short-term and long-term objectives and in providing a deep understanding of current TM performance and future operating and strategic human capital initiatives.

General Job Responsibilities

  • Select and design measurement strategies and analysis methodologies to gain insights from data that can be used to make decisions
  • Partner with and influence Human Resources leaders to determine how data can best be used to guide decisions about talent
  • Work with HR Leaders to use data in processes, programs, and tools to maximize their effectiveness and impact on the business
  • Create and maintain databases as needed for reporting and/or analysis in support of HR, Talent Acquisition & Talent Management or other company-wide programs
  • Lead data collection and data management processes to ensure that data is available in the appropriate format to meet the needs of the selected analysis methodology
  • Consult with other departments on talent data that may be needed for analysis and collaborate to ensure data is in the proper format for analysis
  • Analyze data, using statistical methods and applications where appropriate, to evaluate and measure the effectiveness and business impact of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition & Talent Management and other company-wide programs
  • Design, manage, and execute a reporting process to provide meaningful information about talent and TM performance.

Qualifications

  • 2020 Rising Junior or Senior
  • Preferred Majors: Business, Statistics, Human Resources, Psychology
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to develop and communicate insight findings and recommendations, creating actionable strategies
  • Ability to understand statistical and analytical concepts, as well as communicate them to non-technical audiences
