SUMMARY

Hyperion Planning Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, interoperability and sustainability of Planning Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) and Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS) applications to support the various business processes, calendar, and user base. This is a highly visible position as it will liaison with the broader Finance community, IT teams, and executive staff.

The successful candidate will be proficient in an array of Oracle/Hyperion technologies as well as other technological skills that enable the successful integration, stability, and automation of the environment. As an administrator, this position will be responsible for the daily operations of applications and their availability to our end users. This position will be a key role in supporting broader finance and leadership team.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain enterprise level cloud based Planning and Consolidation applications (PBCS/FCCS) and be responsible for the broader environments integrity as it relates to reliability and availability of the applications (security, uptime, maintenance processes, etc.)
  • Support monthly financial close, consolidation, planning and forecasting process
  • Manage complete system backups and maintain migration of objects between environments
  • Troubleshoot SmartView client connections, user access and data issues. Also, work closely with Oracle to get support in timely manner
  • Manage users/groups security and access controls that satisfies SOX requirements
  • Assess structural changes and data change impact and implement best practice solutions
  • Proactively communicate any new features/functionality capabilities to user community and provide proper training to users
  • Document process flow and prepare training guides to enhance user experience
  • Contribute to the broader financial/Enterprise tools roadmap in partnership with Finance/IT leadership
  • Maintain knowledge and stays current of developments in the fields of Oracle cloud technologies.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of working as “Administrator” in Oracle Cloud platform (PBCS, Reports, Smartview, Data Management)
  • Knowledge of FCCS and EPBCS is highly preferred
  • Knowledge in SQL, EPM Automate utility scripting, ODBC, ETL Tools is desirable

Ability to define problems, collect data, perform analysis, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, and the Finance/IT/Business teams

Attention to quality, reconciliation, and accuracy are critical as the tools are used across the organization

Energy and enthusiastic to recommend ways to evolve our infrastructure, process, and analytic capabilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, MIS or related required; and

4-8 years of experience working with financial systems (planning, consolidation, BI, etc.); or

Equivalent combination of education and experience.
