Job Description

The Information Security Engineer (Data Loss Protection) will, under general supervision, perform all procedures asked to ensure the safety of Information Systems Assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Demonstrated ability to develop IT security standards and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information technology industry trends and emerging technologies and an ability to relate them to the company and its objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Conduct security reviews with available tools to assess the security posture of applications and the hosting computer systems   Facilitation of remediation/mitigation efforts through peer teams as identified by internal reviews and 3rd party assessments with tracking to closure  Serve as a technical resource to assist peer teams in understanding identified security risks and consulting on best practices for remediation  Perform triage, analysis and reporting on activities and incidents within the data protection environment.   Support policy analysis for existing controls and help drive expansion for greater data visibility & loss prevention technologies.  Maintain a knowledge base of security attack vectors and common system vulnerabilities for the purposes of applying defensive controls and the development of security hardening standards  Develop a solid understanding of additional core technology area in either operating systems, application development, or enterprise middleware products  Serve as team member in incident response engagements as assigned by the incident handler  Provide thought leadership in improving our assessment processes and the security posture of IT  Engage in effective coaching and provide technical leadership to help develop junior engineers

Solid understanding of one or more technologies including operating systems, application development, and enterprise middleware products  Demonstrated understanding of information DLP, endpoint security tool sets, cloud security monitoring platforms, SIEM platforms  Excellent technical and team skills and solid analytical skills for problem determination and resolution  Excellent verbal/written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in related field of study; and

3-5 years of experience in Information Security; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

GIAC or (ISC)2 Certifications Preferred

MCSE Certification in Windows Server, Database, and/or Cloud Preferred
