SUMMARY

The Inventory Planner creates planning processes, provides analysis, executes processes, and utilizes business tools and metrics to ensure that the new nodes created as part of the End to End Supply Chain design are properly stocked.  In addition, the Inventory Planner must create and direct the execution of the inventory disposition plans for decommissioning DCs.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Inventory Planner work with the in-market assortment planning team to ensure new supply nodes are stocked properly.  The Inventory Planner will also prepare the inventory disposition plan to move inventory out of the decommissioning DC and then assist with the execution of the plan.

Execute the inventory plans on schedule and within budget.

Provide periodic reporting on the status of the inventory in each impacted node (new or decommissioning DC).

Create standard, repeatable processes to enable multiple simultaneous market activations and DC consolidations in the future.

Anticipate and solve problems related to tactical, day-to-day project issues.

Uncover, manage, and resolve project interdependencies.

Work with cross-functional/organizational teams to drive desired results.

Communicate effectively with local team members and CSC leaders to ensure successful completion of the project.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of inventory planning strategy and operations. 

Ability to effectively manage and execute project objectives.

Strong leadership skills including the ability to communicate effectively cross functionally with both exempt and non-exempt team members.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong Microsoft office skills.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

– Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Mathematics  and 2+ years business experience (Inventory, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, or Retail experience preferred).

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None immediately, but in future, could manage additional project team members or contractors.

Provide input to cross functional teams and influence business teams to achieve project objectives.  New Position
