SUMMARY

Significant opportunity for a finance professional to leverage a wide variety of skills in a nimble team focused on business transformation. This dynamic role will have a broad range of experiences across IT Project Financials, Variance Analysis, Financial Systems, Metrics Development & Reporting, Forecasting, and business partnering.  The IT Financial Manager will be responsible for compiling data on and supporting a multitude of initiatives with expansive and long-range impacts across the enterprise

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide forecasting guidance for multiple business units within Advance Auto’s IT organization and consolidate other unit forecasts to support plan development.

 

  • Develop flexible models to accommodate various scenarios and inputs across functions.

 

  • Work with Finance Technical teams to stand up analytic tools supporting the IT finance function

 

  • Develop methodology and report upon benefits resulting from investment initiatives within the organization.

 

  • Continuous validation of initiative alignment within IT across Program Management, Infrastructure, Application Development, and IT Leadership Teams

 

  • Provide fact-based financial analysis, economic modeling and ad-hoc analysis that supports the business case for proposed investment.

 

  • Partner with internal customers to implement performance management rhythms, and support evaluation of strategic alternatives.

Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Hyperion, and PowerBI skills a plus.

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals or technical procedures

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Experience working in retail environment preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Business is required; and

7 - 10 years of financial and business analysis experience; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is an individual contributor, but will have the opportunity to work with and mentor other Financial Analysts within the organization.
