Job Description

The Manager, Crisis Response (Investigations and Critical Incidents), is responsible for the creation and maintenance of investigation protocols, both performing investigations and auditing others. In addition, this role facilitates cross-functional preparedness and recovery efforts associated with critical incidents such as natural disasters, civil unrest, active shooter events, and robberies/burglaries. In addition to establishing standardized processes across these functional areas, the Manager will conduct regular training to ensure current expectations are communicated.  The Manager supports Retail, Supply Chain, and CSC organizations with this function.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and auditing investigation standards across the organization
  • Facilitates cross-functional preparedness and recovery efforts associated with natural disasters, civil unrest, and loss related events
  • Conducts in-market training across Retail, Supply Chain, and CSC functions
  • Oversees and conducts significant and non-traditional investigations across network.
  • Partners closely with Internal Audit, Legal, and Human Resources to align on corporate compliance associated with investigations
  • Audits Asset Protection investigations and case management platform to ensure compliance.
  • Manage risk identification and develop risk management plans.  Perform issue management as required.
  • Manage scope and cost and ensure financial forecast is created and maintained throughout the roadmap execution.
  • Provide status updates and overall program updates to Executive and Senior Leadership.
  • Lead program meetings and prepare and present status reports on a regular basis.
  • Build and oversee change management plans.
  • Manage internal and external interdependencies and complexities.

  • Advanced skill in MS Office Professional Series (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook).
  • Proven ability to manage work efforts across multiple functions to successful outcome
  • Advanced investigation (interviewing and interrogation) skills
  • Solid understanding of business mathematics and basic project accounting principles.
  • Proven experience handling multiple assignments and using strong prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in high-expectation situations providing leadership and collaboration to deliver solutions.
  • A wide variety and degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  The will be expected to work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced critical thinking and negotiation skills with the ability to make recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information across all levels of the organization; and cultivate relationships with internal and external customers to achieve business objectives.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiar with a variety of business related concepts, practices and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position directly or indirectly supervises multiple Investigators.
