The Manager, Merchandising Operations will manage a center of excellence team which will focus on design, tool development, and process creation to complete integration of skus across multiple banners. The position will engage with leaders across Supply Chain, Inventory, Merchandising, and Vendor community in order to bring together all of our enterprise products into one catalog.

The Manager, Merchandising Operations will develop strong cross-functional and collaborative relationships with business partners to fully understand their strategies and needs to ensure that all business-critical data requirements are identified and acquired. The position will build out a team and roadmap for Merchandising Center of Excellence (COE) to include sku/product lifecycle management, specifically sku set up and future planning/data governance capability. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Support the CBR transformation workstream:  Ensure Cross-banner visibility enables shop owners, technicians, and team members to view the entire product assortment available from Advance, CARQUEST and Worldpac on one platform, powered by a new catalog.  E2E solution across business partners; eliminating duplication and streamlining process (interchange, item maintenance, DC product flow to stores). The Merchandise Operations Manager will work closely with IOM, various other departments, and vendors in supporting data application needs.
  • Manage all product information required to sell product in AAP’s omni-channel environment. This position will have responsibility for evaluating all current data needs to support the business and be a leader for data governance across the organization. This position will ensure current processes for acquiring and maintaining data are documented and trained across the organization. This position is responsible for identifying and managing the associated risks involved with inaccurate product information.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on the product data information processes for relevant initiatives and stake holders.
  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports to identified stakeholders of the process.
  • Ability to solve problems at an item level and continually find ways to improve and create process efficiencies in order to accomplish one enterprise catalog goal.
  • Manager role will be responsible for leading the Data Analyst within Center of Excellence team. Additionally, the role will require influential leadership to build out new capabilities within the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance
  • 5 years experience leading business teams
  • 8-10 years relevant experience
  • or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
