Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager works in collaboration with Regional Sales Directors in leading the Outbound Sales team with planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs specific to assigned geographic sales territories.

The Regional Sales Manager administers both short and long-range sales strategies targeted towards existing and future markets and engages both future and active customer account base as well as regional sales staff for the purpose of increasing sales and market share.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Essential Functions:

  • Identifies new market opportunities and develops the long- and short-term strategic plans necessary to maximize profits and market share. 
  • Manages long-term relationships with customers and strategic business partners.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with Regional Sales and Operations Directors through regular communications and sharing of customer/ market information.
  • Coordinates strategic planning and execution activities with Sales and Operations Teams and all other departments as required to achieve objectives
  • Provides senior management with essential information.  Prepares and submits accurate and timely sales reports and departmental budgets.
  • Recommends new products and markets, provide supporting sales, marketing and financial rationale.
  • Manages activities, communicates performance results and coordinates with WORLDPAC teammates through all appropriate means, including but not limited to the Salesforce CRM reporting tool, Web Calendar, Google Apps, Meeting Place and e-mail.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Able to conceptualize and implement sales plans and programs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Regularly will have to exercise independent judgment.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals. 
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and to prioritize work duties.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the language(s) prevalent in the geographic market(s) assigned for development
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, procedures and work instructions.  Ability to write clear and grammatically correct reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, vendors and customers of the organization.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Desired skills

  • Sales, Marketing or Business degree preferred
  • Prefer experience to include at least five years of progressive managerial or leadership responsibilities.
