SUMMARY

The Marketing Promotions Analyst is responsible for executing promotional pricing set-up & testing of product-specific, coupon & rebate promotional offers for DIY and Professional customers. The Marketing Promotions Analyst executes the organization's promotional strategy by performing the following duties personally or through partnership with others.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with the Marketing Team to establish marketing, advertising and promotional plans designed to meet corporate objectives within existing systems capabilities, including but not limited to increasing sales, customer count and dollars per transaction.
  • Works closely with members of the Marketing and Merchandising teams, as well as third party partners to support the organization's promotional goals and strategies.
  • Analyzes marketing and advertising opportunities and provides feedback and recommendations that will help establish or increase the effectiveness of programs and overall sales growth.
  • Loads promotional pricing to store Point of Sale (POS) and eCommerce pricing zones to support monthly and ad-hoc promotions.
  • Implements temporary cost adjustments (promo jobber pricing) to CQ IND Point Of Sale systems to lower store acquisition cost for Independently-owned Carquest stores in order to maintain agreed-upon gross profit margins on promoted items.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting promo pricing/promo cost discrepancies reported by stores.
  • Responsible for detailed proofing of customer-facing advertisements as well as internal communications vehicles.

 

 

 

Job Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly proficient with MS Office software, intermediate Excel and PowerPoint, beginner-level proficiency in MS Access.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, must be able to multi-task constantly throughout the work day.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Process-oriented and can deliver on multiple projects at once.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year degree
  • 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
