Worldpac Inc. is seeking a Principal Developer in its Raleigh, NC location.

Job Description: Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level software for Worldpac.  Interface with user groups to gather and refine requirements for new and existing application features.  Collaborate with other software developers across disparate IT development teams on various business projects with the goal of empowering and enabling users to perform their daily tasks more efficiently and accurately.  Design, develop, maintain, and support internal business intelligence applications (OSGI plugins necessary to inform decisions related to product pricing and product sourcing).  Regularly interact with users to gather and refine business requirements in an interactive software development process.  Collaborate with other RCP developers to maintain synergistic functionality and “Look and Feel” across various business tools (RCP Perspectives) within the enterprise platform.  Work with Quality Assurance group to enable efficient alpha and regression testing.  Implement new functionality for Worldpac’s commercial mobile delivery application used by delivery and point of customer teammates.  Provide user support, problem determination, and resolution for mobile delivery application.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or related technical field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or as a Senior Architect, Software Developer, or related occupation.  The position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: utilizing Java and C++ programming language in developing enterprise business applications, and experience with Eclipse plugin development, SWT/JFace, and Eclipse RCP.  The position also requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills: working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, or MySQL), using source code management systems (GIT or SVN) and working with Maven and/or Ant build tools.  Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training.  Foreign degree equivalent accepted.
