Sales Support Analyst

Job Description:

The Sales analyst works closely with the Sales team, including Sr. leadership, and provides analysis and reporting around KPIs that will improve sales effectiveness, productivity and ensure high quality sales growth from new and existing customers. They will partner with the IT department to enhance, optimize and stream-line sales and margin data to create dynamic dashboards using KPIs.  Additionally, the analyst will support the calculation customer rebates ensuring these are accurate and finalized within timelines. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provides and manages the design, development and implementation of complex sales analyses and comparative reports that provide insight into each sales rep, market and region
  • Participates in quarterly customer reviews and prepares reports that provide areas of success as well as identifies areas of opportunities
  • Uses salesforce to integrate customer data and provide a one-stop shop for the Sales team
  • Assist in the calculation of customer rebates; analysis results and quantifies impact of rebate to the profit from the customer
  • Provide support around operational sales excellence programs and facilitating best practices and optimal work-flows
  • Assist with the creation of new branches; provides customer level information and quantifies sales transfers, estimation of incremental sales growth and overall market level impact of new branches
  • Provides ad-hoc reporting as requested


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics or related degree
  • Advanced PC skills and Microsoft Office; Strong working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups and formulas
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, systems aptitude, and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of energy and initiative.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Preferred Requirements: Financial analysis and/or forecasting experience
