SUMMARY
Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records and provides departmental support by performing accounting and administrative functions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  Works under general supervision to:

  • Accurately purge unrecorded receipts from Oracle.  Effectively communicate with the Distribution Centers for clarification on the purges if discrepancies are noted.

  • Follow up with appropriate individuals for any needed corrections to ensure the discrepancies are timely cleared.

  • Prepare and maintain schedules and supporting documentation needed for management, internal and external reporting, internal and external auditors, and SOX requirements.

  • Provide support to the Corporate Accounting Department with accounting and administrative functions.

  • Update the SOP as processes or systems change. 

  • Ability to work in various environments to complete research on invoices, which include ADIS, Agility, GSX, etc.

  • Ensure proper approvals are obtained for the appropriate requests.

  • Record transactions to the General Ledger on a period basis

  • Assist in documentation, monitoring and testing of internal controls for Accounting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

  • Any other tasks that may be assigned by management.

  • Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and Oracle skills.

  • Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 

  • Be able to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Be able to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment, and manages time effectively.

  • Be able to cross-train within department.

  • Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
High School Diploma and two to four years related experience and/or training
