This position provides change management leadership for core strategic projects that successfully advance Transformation for the Advance Auto Parts.  The Change Management Senior Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects meet objectives on time and on budget and ensure team member adoption of planned changes. 

The Change Management Senior Manager partners closely with the Project Teams to understand the project deeply and recommend the needed change management actions.  This position will identify, oversee, and ensure the successful execution of all change management activities for identified projects to drive faster adoption.  This includes creating the change management strategy and identifying and implementing a measurable, actionable change management plan.

This position will be a key contributor to the evolution of the enterprise Change Management Program across the organization owning the development and rollout of key methodologies, tools, and resources. 

The Change Management Senior Manager is part of the corporate Strategy and Transformation team reporting to the Vice President, Transformation Execution.  This position will partner heavily with key stakeholders across the organization, at all levels.  Collaboration with key partners such as the IT PMO, Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Communication teams will be critical to success.


  • Be a critical partner to the project teams enabling successful project implementation with targeted impacted audiences, and support them in integrating change management activities into their project plans
  • Create and implement Change Management strategies and plans for strategic projects that maximize employee engagement and adoption through the development and implementation of change management tools and processes (i.e. conduct readiness assessments, hire & train dedicated change team, create stakeholder analysis, identify risk mitigation, monitor feedback, etc)
  • Facilitate and analyze change impacts including KPI/success metrics.  Manage and monitor change adoption (assess, review, remediate cycle) for the project
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to the enterprise Change Management Strategy through the management of cross-functional linkages & activities in ways that support a cohesive employee workplace experience for all organizational change initiatives
  • Build and maintain effective foundational partnerships across the organization to develop holistic implementation plans for key projects (i.e. Learning & Development to ensure effective Training Strategy and training deliverables, HR/Business for organization/staffing, Communications for communications plans and messaging distribution, and IT PMO for project implementation alignment)


  • Bachelor’s Degree, with knowledge and successful implementation of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Eight to ten years of combined experience in change management with strong knowledge and working experience with organizational design, PMO and business transformation
  • Demonstrated success in supporting large transformational projects from a change management perspective
  • Prior project management experience with change management experience required
  • Supervisory responsibility - This position may directly or indirectly lead a change team.
