Job Description

•       Originate, design, and execute data driven business and analytics strategy across diverse channels such as Web/eCommerce, SEM, Email, and Loyalty/CRM to drive measurable benefit to the enterprise and better serve our customers

•       Measure and optimize the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to commercial accounts, in store, and online, deploying both established and groundbreaking techniques

•       Partner with a diverse set of stakeholders both inside and outside the department execute on cross-functional projects

•       Partner with the data science team to translate business needs into complex data science problems, including predictive modeling, segmentation, machine learning, and others, then work with the data science team to solve these problems while ensuring the outcome matches business needs

•       Partner with data engineering team to develop processes enabling the delivery of data and results in a timely, accurate and concise manner; formulate data requirements and ensure deliverables match business needs

•       Work cross-functionally, both internally and with analytic vendors, to design market-, store-, and/or customer- level tests to measure the incremental impact of marketing leading to rigorous, meaningful, and actionable insights.

•       Scope data-driven project opportunities to self-disrupt and change the way we work, creating massive business and customer value in the process

•       Work with the latest open source tools, libraries, platforms and languages to explore billions of customer records and external data sources for relationships and actionable insights

•       Work with our user experience and software development teams to design rich data visualizations and interactive solutions to communicate complex ideas to customers and company leaders

•       Support ad-hoc analytic needs as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably in Digital Marketing and/or as part of a retail environment with complex data relationships
  • Mastery of SQL required.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, R, Scala, and/or SAS preferred. Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Salesforce, and dashboarding tools a bonus.
  • Proven ability to remain current, continually researching and evaluating emerging technologies
  • Proven track record challenging conventional thinking and traditional ways of operating, and working with stakeholders to identify and improve the status quo
  • Drive to analyze customer needs and impact business outcomes
  • Ability to develop analytical skills in other team members

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM major (Statistics, Economics, Science, Engineering or Math); Master’s Degree in STEM or business major preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Financial Analyst, Sr. Business Analyst or similar analytical role
