As a Software Testing and QA Manager, you will be responsible for making sure that our projects, products and platforms perform as intended and expected.  Successful candidates will thrive in an agile environment, embrace DevOps culture and practices, and help mentor other team members as needed. 

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Advance the development and modernization of testing and QA strategy for Team Digital inclusive of people, process, and tools that will drive higher quality and efficiency.  
  • Maintain high-level awareness of the leading edge of QA and testing tools and practices, in both their automated and manual forms.  
  • Play a lead role in determining best practices, methods and tools; be responsible for the consistent implementation of tools / methods, and results.    
  • Coordinate the testing efforts including internal and external resources, be on point to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested.    
  • Be an active participant in developing project and product plans; advocate and evangelize for testing and QA as integral lifecycle components.    
  • Provide leadership, best practices, feedback and mentoring to other QA team members.  
  • Develop and maintain service level metrics for systems, including response times, failover, time to failure, and time to recover.  
  • Provide insight to dev teams and business-side stakeholders to determine what’s ready or not ready for prime time in the product/project pipeline.  
  • Participate, advocate and be willing to aid between production and testing/stage environments. 
  • Be capable and willing to participate directly in script development, both hands-on and assisting other engineers.  
  • Build and implement actual testing approaches: stress; load; capacity; soak; spike; etc.  
  • Be responsible for certifying software performance for production releases.  
  • Collaborate and partner closely with dev and ops teams to ensure that our platforms perform as expected.  
  • Be in the vanguard of a truly agile, true DevOps, true CI/CD culture here at AAP.
