Job Description

This position will drive the maintenance and analysis of the landed cost model for the global sourcing team and performs analysis for complex financial decisions.  This includes interacting with merchandising, finance, transportation and accounting departments to ensure data accuracy throughout the direct import process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

30%       Data modeling using in-depth analysis. Support the global sourcing team with financial analysis by giving the team strategic insights into operations and process management. Provide root cause analysis into financial outlays affecting the P&L for the team. Validate freight cost models to ensure accuracy and maintain a working understanding of the department costs from ‘A-Z’.

25%       Review Esitmated Landed Cost (ELC) files.  Review and approve files for implementation into the system. Validate accuracy of variables used and run a financial impact to measure changes to margin. Work with sourcing and merchandising teams during product development to provide accurate information used for Company merchandising systems. 

25%       Maintain SKU & vendor databases and update the system as needed.  Work within the retail merchandising system to upload data. Make sure costs are aligned between the various Company systems in Asia and USA. Run weekly/monthly status reports on system information.

20%       Provide information and ad hoc reporting to department leadership as needed. Act as subject matter expert on department financial information. Help answer questions from across the Company on global sourcing processes. Learn the entire global sourcing process and be able to provide process improvements to meet department objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated technical analytical ability with sound financial modeling skills

Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex information into strategic insights

Ability to work with minimal supervision with high standards of accountability and ownership

Advanced Skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Business Intelligence software

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.  

Minimum of 3-5 years of data/financial analysis required.
