The Position

The Sr. Brand Manager will lead the development of campaigns, content, and/or media plans based on thoughtful analysis of internal and external data. This person will work across various sub-functions of the Marketing organization and external agency partners to build and execute programs in line with the overarching Brand strategy. The Sr. Brand Managers will partner to measure and report out program results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Specific responsibilities will be divided across two Sr. Brand Managers. In addition to the traditional Brand role; one will focus more on Media; the other on Digital Content)

  • Lead business and customer analysis to focus and direct marketing planning
  • Collaborate with Customer Research/Analytics to measure program effectiveness
  • Develop national campaign creative executions
  • Develop customer-targeted media strategy, planning, and implementation to drive brand awareness, consideration, and omnichannel traffic
  • Lead agency team to deliver outstanding creative plans based on our business objectives
  • Analyze media plan effectiveness, leveraging our analytics and business partners
  • Digital/traditional media budgeting – tracking, reporting, analysis
  • Define testing plans to learn and define our optimal media mix model
  • Collaborate with Marketing team members to ensure delivery of excellent creative units are delivered
  • Actively stay on the forefront of emerging media trends to educate the team and incorporate learnings to our plans and test plans
  • Develop Hi-Po talent, ensuring a strong bench, and high levels of engagement. Focus on developing Leadership, Social/Content technical competency.
  • Deliver and execute ongoing content program rooted in our customer targets
  • Drive significant increase in customer digital engagement as well as significant increase in overall number of engaged followers
  • Collaborate with Customer Research/Analytics to measure effectiveness and make adjustments to plans based on quantitative learnings
  • Lead development of content by partnering with our in-house Creative and/or our external agency that drives brand awareness and brand affinity/equities
  • Actively research and evangelize emerging social trends
  • Define testing plans to learn and define the future of our model
  • Ensure execution and delivery of all tactical content and social plans
  • Conduct ongoing Social Listening to inform senior management of hot topics from our customers and team members
  • Lead Brand participation in a variety of corporate project(s) that require Marketing leadership, customer analysis, and plan development
  • Develop Hi-Po talent, ensuring a strong bench, and high levels of engagement. Focus on developing Leadership, Social/Content technical competency.

Qualifications

  • Dynamic leader – proven to be effective at inspiring and driving direction across team members in a matrix organization.
  • Customer-centric – has a rock-solid customer-focused marketing background. Understands the need to know the customer well and define targeted plans that will engage and prove effective
  • Marketing Expertise – from target definition to customer understanding to media planning and digital content development. This person has had extensive experience in the post-digital world. Traditional media and creative development, a plus.
  • Business Acumen – ability to analyze, understand and interpret data, effectively incorporate learnings to define a vision and plan.
  • Builder – experience working in large organizations, but also has passion for building new capabilities in an organization. Patience plus motivation plus overcoming-obstacles mentality.
  • Team player – while this person is bold in setting goals and making things happen, s/he motivates her team members, enrolls the right people, and recognizes a job well done.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or MS Marketing/Digital Marketing preferred
  • 5+ years leading a Brand team, including  responsibility for media and/or digital content
  • Big brand experience
