The Sr. Manager of Corporate FP&A is responsible for planning, forecasting, consolidations, and interpretation of the total company financial results.  This role will be an integral role interfacing across all levels of the organization both within Finance and the broader company leadership teams.  Key components of the role will be managing the companies long range and annual planning processes as well as developing a comprehensive review of the underlying financial and operational results.

The successful candidate will have experience with financial modeling and competitive analysis to help manage both the strategic and annual tactical planning process.   Being able to take the financial data, summarize and message it to the Senior Executive Team is also a critical part of this role.  Additionally, as there has been a very near term focus on implementing and developing the underlying technology supporting the finance organization, an ability to design and construct these tools in support of the desired outcomes will likewise allow for maximum effectiveness in the role.

This position has a more unique opportunity to significantly influence the direction of the company and the financial performance because of its position within the company structure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Leads and aligns monthly financial reporting and forecast processes, including maintaining a planning & forecasting calendar and the consolidation of company-wide forecasts and plans

Work cross functionally to develop financial plans and forecasts

Helps drive business value & outcomes by providing financial and analytical support to facilitate decision-marking around strategic business initiatives

Develop and prepare presentation materials for the Company’s Management Team

Provide analytical thought-leadership and lead projects that will deliver key insights for making critical business decisions

Work closely with accounting, finance, and investor relations during period end close, improve reporting capabilities, and provide variance analysis support to plan, forecast and last year

Demonstrate a working knowledge of financials modeling (profit and loss, discounted cash flow, and other return on investment analysis)

Knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles

Design of the underlying financial technology to support planning, consolidations, and analysis (systems capabilities, hierarchy design, ecosystem integration, automation, etc.)

Leadership Qualifications include the ability to engage and monitor the performance of a broader direct and indirect team towards the achievement of the groups’ directives.  Similarly, the ability to conceptualize, evaluate, and express the vision for roadmap direction will be important.

Executive/Board level presentation skills (Storyline, Recommendations, Format, & Delivery)

Technical Qualifications:

  • Advanced ability to model financials with a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to leverage technology to get at more information, more deeply, and more efficiently
  • Ability to translate desired outcomes into underlying systems design

Ability to define problems, collect data, perform analysis, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, and the Finance/IT/Business teams

Attention to quality, reconciliation, and accuracy are critical as the audience is often executive level staff and the decisions being made are significant in scope/impact

Creativity and vision to recommend ways to evolve our infrastructure, process, and analytic capabilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related required (Advanced Degrees or cross specialization with a technical specialty (Comp Science, Mathematics, etc. is a plus); and

7-10+ years experience in a Finance field

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mentoring and collaborating with other Analysts within the broader organization.  Potential direct management.
