ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage half billion e-Com sales, partner with channel owners, review actuals, forecast and plan
  • Manage marketing OPEX spend, including detail tracking of expenses by account and vendor, holding business owners accountable to forecast and AOP
  • Manage marketing capital spend, including business case build up, partner with business for financial analysis, labor capitalization, project approval, build digital capital process, align with other stake holders and functions, and assess financial impact with business owners. Lead and manage marketing and E-comm capital spending, forecast, budgeting and actual reviews.
  • Helps drive business value & outcomes by providing financial and analytical support to facilitate decision-marking around strategic business initiatives
  • Provide analytical thought-leadership and lead projects that will deliver key insights for making critical business decisions
  • Coordinate across departments to organize all aspects of marketing spend, including stores, field and professional
  • Lead period financial review process with executive leadership
  • Lead AOP process for department including OPEX, CAPEX and e-Com sales
  • Prepare financial review material for business reviews and board meetings
  • Work closely with accounting, and business owners during period end close, improve reporting capabilities, and provide variance analysis support to plan, forecast and last year
  • Coordinate the vendor funding process between Marketing and Merchandising teams $35M in annual spend
  • Lead Digital balance sheets, including deep dive all balance sheets related accounts
  • Lead Ship to Home item profitability analysis, to drive gross margin improvements and reduce freight expense
  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles

Technical Qualifications:

  • Advanced ability to model financials with a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to leverage technology to get at more information, more deeply, and more efficiently
  • Ability to translate desired outcomes into underlying systems design

Ability to define problems, collect data, perform analysis, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, and the Finance/Business teams

Attention to quality, reconciliation, and accuracy are critical as the audience is often executive level staff and the decisions being made are significant in scope/impact

Creativity and vision to recommend ways to evolve our infrastructure, process, and analytic capabilities


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related required (Advanced Degrees or cross specialization with a technical specialty); and 7-10+ years’ experience in a Finance field


Mentoring and collaborating with other manager and analysts within the broader organization.  Potential direct management.
