Sr. Financial Analyst - Transformation Management Office

 

SUMMARY

The TMO Senior Financial Analyst provides decision support by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data related to our Transformation Program. He / she is responsible for providing financial support, evaluating and interpreting the financial P&L performance of initiatives related to our Tier One Priorities. The TMO Financial Analyst is also the Key User for our initiatives Portfolio Management tool. This person provides support to all users and takes appropriate actions to maintain and enhance the quality of data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop appropriate reports to monitor progress of our Tier One Priorities
  • Define assumptions for the quantification and analysis of our main projects
  • Build and maintain modeling tools and operating reports to support Performance analysis
  • Partner with internal customers to implement performance management rhythms.
  • Key user of AAP initiatives portfolio management tool
  • Maintain a set of data to properly track our key market and strategic metrics 
  • Provide fact-based financial analysis, economic modeling and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic scenario analysis.
  • Maintain knowledge and stays abreast of developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory.

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations such as probability and statistics. Capacity to build financial models
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Experience working in retail environment preferred


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Business is required, and 3-5 years of financial and business analysis experience; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises Budget/Financial Analyst(s) and is responsible for the guidance and financial direction and guidance of four retail area Financial Analysts who directly report to the Area Senior Vice Presidents.
