As a Senior Manager at Advance Auto Parts, you will have an opportunity to disrupt a $100B auto parts industry to bring better and faster innovative solutions to customers. You will be responsible for developing large scale cross-functional strategic omni-channel initiatives that are focused on improving operational performance and creating new fulfillment channels to enhance customer experience while reducing the cost to serve. You will work on solving complex end to end omni-channel problems and influence the direction of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Translate end state omni-channel vision into strategic initiatives with short to long-term deliverables to support sales growth while reducing the cost to serve.
  • Direct the execution of large-scale strategic programs by partnering with key stakeholders, creating a program plan, managing task and timelines, organizing and facilitating communication materials to ensure successful rollouts and implementations.
  • Develop and implement new innovative solutions to enhance the customer’s experience to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Apply business measures and analyses to identify improvement opportunities, analyze and interpret information by using various analytical methodologies for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency.
  • Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for omni-channel fulfillment initiatives.
  • Utilize quantitatively, and modeling skills to analyze large amounts of data and draw conclusions, develop a project plan, develop financial analysis ((e.g., IRR, ROI, NPV, etc.) and present go-forward plan for approval, and drive the development of project management tasks, resource identification, and implementation planning — exercise vertical and horizontal communication for progress on deliverables.
  • Provide insightful, solution-oriented, oral and written recommendations to executive management and appropriate business partners
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and periodic reporting to help drive execution, process uniformity, and improvement throughout the omni-channel supply chain.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Reseach, Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a highly analytical, data intensive and/or strategic role, preferably with significant experience in Supply Chain and/or online retail.
  • Track-record of effectively managing cross-functional teams to complete multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities with minimum guidance.
  • Ability to manipulate large quantities of data to drive business decisions is a must – an expert in Microsoft Excel and expertise in SQL a big plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MBA or relevant Master’s Degree (Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering)
  • Lean/Six Sigma Black belt
  • Project Management Certification
