Advance Auto Parts and have announced and launched a strategic partnership to collaboratively grow consumer sales of aftermarket auto parts.  One visible element of this partnership is the launch of an automotive specialty store on, the Advance Auto Parts Shop.   The partnership goes much deeper than the specialty shop, including enablement of new and disruptive customer fulfillment models that allows customers to order auto parts and accessories on-line and have the parts in their hands the same day.  The candidate selected for the Sr. Manager Product Marketing role will own the creation and execution of the integrated marketing plan for this strategic partnership between AAP and   This is a rare opportunity to think and act like an entrepreneur under the umbrella of an established industry leader. 

The Sr. Manager of Product Marketing for AAP’s strategic partnership with will play a key role in driving the success of this partnership.  This role will report into the Marketing organization with dotted-line responsibility to the SVP Strategic Partnerships.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Create a Marketing vision in the context of the partnership and translate that vision into a marketing strategy
  • Develop an integrated marketing plan to drive product mix (product, price, place, promotion) and create a unified and seamless AAP customer experience on
  • Collaborate with Walmart to drive traffic to AAP product on by leveraging tactics such as search, browse, affiliates, email, CRM, social and omnichannel
  • Collaborate with Walmart to drive sales and the right end-to-end customer experience to achieve partnership objectives
  • Leverage data and advanced analytics to drive high quality decisions
  • Identify the right marketing KPI’s for this partnership and track marketing plans to these KPI’s
  • Provide effective communication with senior management and all relevant stakeholders on key initiatives and outcomes
  • Build, lead and manage a matrix organized marketing team
  • Partner with Walmart digital and traditional marketing teams to drive alignment and synergies
  • Continue to partner with other AAP and Walmart team members to drive alignment on all initiatives related to the partnership


  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Business
  • 8-10 years overall marketing experience across traditional and digital channels
  • 4-5 years hands-on experience preferred in designing and managing digital marketing programs in Paid Search, Affiliates, Display, etc.
  • Excellent at structured thinking, analytical skills and making data-based decisions
  • Strong technical knowledge of key traditional and digital marketing channels and key metrics that drive success in these channels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices
  • Strong team management and communication skills
