Sr. Manager Store Operations Systems

The Sr. Manager of Store Ops Systems is responsible for leading a team of Product Owners; responsible for the product planning and execution as related to several business critical store systems. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: gathering and prioritizing product and business requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with internal and external IT and business partners to ensure operational excellence. Position is also ultimately responsible in ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals and evolves appropriately with the needs of the business.

The Sr. Manager, Store Operations Systems is expected to lead Product Owners to:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Prioritize features and corresponding justification
  • Work with external third parties when appropriate
  • Run pilot programs with early-stage products
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Monitor system performance and adjust configurations as appropriate to meet business needs.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders when others need to be brought in to ensure the continued success of a project/ system.
  • Maintain technical system documentation and release notes. Coordinate updates/ changes and knowledge transfer to all users regardless of their role in the system.

​Product Owner Team oversees, at minimum, the following Store Systems:

  • Portal Technologies (Company / Store Intranet, Learning Management System, etc..)
  • Store Phone & Network System Capabilities
  • Labor, Scheduling & Execution Management Systems
  • Delivery & Dispatch Systems (Supporting store level delivery routing and dispatching capabilities)

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as Product Owner or Project Manager Highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products / solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate retail environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Technical background and store operations background
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 10-25% of the time
